In the current QS World University Ranking by Subject, WU once again confirms its position in the academic landscape. With good rankings in several subjects in the Social Sciences & Management category and one subject in Engineering and Technology, WU underscores its diversity and excellence in research and teaching. The rankings, which compare departments across five broad disciplines, are based on comprehensive reputation surveys and research metrics.

WU is particularly successful in the field of Business & Management Studies, where it is ranked 59th worldwide - this corresponds to the top 10% and makes it the best-ranked Austrian university and the second-best university in the DACH region.

WU is also the only Austrian university and the second-best university in the DACH region to achieve a good result in Marketing, ranking in the 51-100 group. In "Economics & Econometrics", it is once again the best-rated university in Austria with a ranking of 108th. Further rankings:
