Congratulations to our recent graduates on this great achievement!
Friday, October 2, 2020, marked a very special day: not only for the 84 graduates of the Professional MBA from 17 countries, who celebrated the completion of their MBA, but also for the organizational team behind the event.
With the graduation in the Palais Liechtenstein, the WU Executive Academy broke new ground: Despite the strict Covid regulations, 65 graduates were able to receive their MBA degree certificates personally from the Dean of the WU Executive Academy, Barbara Stöttinger. Those international alumni who were unable to attend took part online via zoom session, virtually taking their academic oath ("Spondeo!") at the scepter.
"Today is truly an extraordinary day. Since the beginning of the Corona crisis, we have done everything we could to continue to provide our participants with teaching that is both as smooth and, above all, as valuable as possible. Even if online or hybrid learning cannot completely replace physically studying in Vienna, we can be proud of what we have achieved together over the past few months. I would like to thank my team and our faculty members, who spared no effort in transforming more than 100 modules to distance learning. But I would like to take this opportunity to specially thank you, dear graduates, as the last few months have been a very special challenge for you in particular - also and above all outside the MBA program. I am more than happy that we are able to celebrate the culmination of your program here at the Gartenpalais today - with festively dressed alumni on site and virtually connected to us from many countries around the world," says a delighted Barbara Stöttinger.
With the hybrid graduation in the picturesque halls of the Palais Liechtenstein on October 2, 2020, the special moment of graduation has also become an emotional highlight for the alumni, their families and all those involved.
