Executive MBA Strategic Project Management | Curriculum
The curriculum of the Executive MBA Strategic Project Management consists of two integral parts:
The business core modules cover vital economic and business administration expertise alongside up-to-date management and leadership tools and techniques. The specialization modules allow participants to gain expertise and skills in project management.
Below is an overview of the modules. Click on the titles for detailed information.
During this Executive MBA, students tackle digitizing project management progresses. Below you find a recorded discussion on this topic between the Academic Director and one of the guest speakers in the program.
During the first three teaching blocks of the specialization, students work together on a training project. Assuming the roles of project management consultants, participants form small groups to work on planning a project. The training projects are drawn from the students´ own professional practice. This “learning-on-the-project” approach provides participants with a testing ground for the theories, concepts and methods discussed in the course of the Executive MBA program.
Another highly practical-relevant feature of the program ist the "Project Vernissage". During this event, students exhibit their training projects and share their project management learning progress with business partners, alumni, students, and faculty of the program.
Below you find examples of projects featured at the "Project Vernissage".
The Executive MBA Strategic Project Management includes company visits to project-oriented companies and organizations. Here, students have the opportunity to meet experts and discuss formulas for success and pitfalls to avoid in project management. Past company visits include: Audi Hungaria, OMV, Frequentis, City of Vienna, Raiffeisen Bank International.

I was worried how to manage studies, job and 3-year-old twins.
Honestly, it wasn’t easy, and I had to sacrifice some personal time too, but with a supportive partner and some flexibility at work it is manageable.
However, the MBA experience that I got in return is so great that I did not regret it a single minute. Moreover, it made me a time management expert ;).

Coming from a technical background, the MBA Strategic Project Management was a perfect match for me. With the part-time structure, I could immediately apply my newly gained knowledge at work and could combine it with my private life. I feel well prepared for all the upcoming challenges and I can only recommend it to everybody who wants to empower himself or herself.
