A new networking season starts in Bucharest

Stefan Popescu opened the evening with welcoming the community calling for representatives of the different graduations years to come to the front and share their motivation for attending the event. Reconnecting with the community was the main driver as can be expected in such a close-knit alumni community such as the Romanian one!

Razvan Gabriel Popa, Executive Director of Alusystem and Founder of the Boiler Coffee Shop chain, an Executive MBA Bucharest Alumnus himself, also welcomed the attendants briefly introducing the history of Boiler Coffee shop.

The WU EA Female Leaders Network has a Hub in Romania servicing the female members of our WU Executive Club. Smaranda Streanga and Luminita Zamfir encouraged all female alumni in Romania to approach them and presented several activities the Hub plans to implement to bring the strong female leaders of the Romanian WU Executive Club Community together because following the WU EA FLN motte: ‘Together we are stronger’.

Keynote Speaker Iancu Guda gave an interesting presentation on 'How will this year land? Populism or real reform measures - macro indicators and status of the economy’. Iancu is a well-known economic experts with regular shows on Romanian TV and a successful author. He provided abundant insights into the performance of the Romanian economy.

After Iancus presentation, everyone was busy networking and enjoying a delicious buffet dinner. The excitement to meet old friends and make new ones was palpable, and everyone present was invited to enjoy Negroni and a Johnny Walker Blue Label tastings in addition to a dedicated Red Bull bar. Thanks to all sponsors involved in this event.  

It was a fantastic evening with lots of laughter and interesting conversations! The Community Engagement Team wants to thank Stefan Popescu for all the efforts taken to put this evening together!
