What will you contribute to the MBA “Strategic Project Management”?

As organizations move towards more knowledge-intensive activities, I see an evolving future of work that stresses a growing balance between specialization and the diffusion of specialization. This dynamic requires a deeper understanding of emergent strategies that acknowledge, assimilate, and apply knowledge at a requisite pace. With subsequent effect, management practices must widen the aperture and consider the scope and scale of capabilities and competencies alongside the traditional scope and scale of capital and labor through time.

Performance is now about the ability and willingness to harness this evolution from simply optimizing capital and labor to optimizing capabilities and competencies. This approach expands the possibility frontier for organizations, as performance is no longer strictly limited by physical resources but is enhanced by intangible assets and the untapped potential they offer.

Why do you think Strategic Project Management is important?

Strategic Project Management equips practitioners with the frameworks and strategic insights to navigate the complexities of managing the future of work and managing the knowledge required to make that work successful in the future. With an emphasis on the strategic distribution and utilization of capabilities and competencies that ultimately enhance their organizations’ productivity and innovative capacity.
