Global Executive MBA Alumnus
Why are you actively involved in the WU Executive Academy's International Advisory Board?
My engagement started 2007 directly after graduation. We started more or less from scratch and I am really happy and proud to see what happened over time. This development and the engagement of the Alumni Managers Gina and Viola and of course the great support from Barbara Stöttinger and Astrid Kleinhanns are reasons why I am still highly motivated and willing to contribute. For 11 years I was President of the IAB, which was a great honor for me.
What topics/questions/concerns that MBA students and alumni could approach you with? What are your areas of expertise?
As an experienced Alumni and Manager, I see myself as a coach or mentor for current students. I am happy to help in regards to leadership, sales, self development, motivation, marketing or simply as a sparring partner.
What should MBA students not miss during their Core Modules in Vienna?
I do not want to share some tourist stuff here. The most important thing which students should not miss is to have fun together and enjoy life. Even if the time is limited and a lot of pre- and post-modules have to be prepared. Do not forget: this is about networking and finding long lasting friendships.
If you could do the MBA again, what would you do differently?
Honestly? Nothing, it is perfect like it is and it was perfect for that moments between 2006 and 2007.
More than half of the students report the network as one of their main reasons for choosing an MBA. What tips do you have for our community on how to make the most of the WU Executive Academy's alumni community?
It is simple: contribution, willingness to share information and help each other
