QS Executive MBA Ranking 2025: Global Executive MBA Once Again Ranked #12 Worldwide

April 30, 2025

Top rank for top program

In this year’s QS Executive MBA Ranking, the Global Executive MBA of the WU Executive Academy was once again ranked 12th. This marks the seventh year in a row that the WU Executive Academy’s double degree flagship program has been ranked among the leading 15 MBA programs worldwide in the “Joint Programs” category.

QS Ranking 2025

For many years, the QS Executive MBA Ranking, which is traditionally compiled once a year by the globally leading career and further education network Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), has been considered one of the most important MBA rankings in the world. Every year, more business schools are competing: this year, as many as 232 (+5 vs. 2024) Executive MBA programs offered in 50 countries took part.

#12 Worldwide in “Joint Programs”

In addition to rankings for individual geographical regions (North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific), there are also two rankings on a global level: the “Global” ranking and the “Joint Programs” ranking, which assesses MBA programs offered jointly by at least two different business schools.

“We are looking at the crème de la crème of executive MBA programs – at least as far as participants are concerned,” Bodo Schlegelmilch, Dean of the WU Executive Academy, adds: “QS has good reasons not to compare joint programs with stand-alone programs because they are simply different: they are more international, particularly with regard to study content, faculty, and potential study visits. In increasingly globalized times, they provide the very topics and experiences needed. We couldn’t be happier about this great result.”

Top Results in Several Categories

The QS Executive MBA Ranking assesses programs based on the five main categories of “Employer Reputation,” “Thought Leadership,” “Career Outcomes,” “Executive Profiles,” and “Diversity,” which are further divided into nine subcategories.

I am particularly proud of the fact that we are so far ahead of the other joint programs in three of the five main categories. We received 73.7 points in “Thought Leadership” (which is about academic reputation and has an average score of 61.0), 72.4 points in “Employer Reputation” (reputation of the business school with an average of 67.1), and 69.3 in “Career Outcomes” (average score of 64.6). What is unique this year is that all (!) of the alumni surveyed were promoted during the observation period - which is truly remarkable!
