Accreditation & Rankings | WU Executive Academy
The WU Vienna University of Economics and Business – Europe’s leading business university – brings more than 100 years of experience and an excellent reputation to the field of executive education.
Faculty members and experts are drawn from more than 240 universities and from leading corporations worldwide. This is one of the reasons why we are triple-accredited and ranked in numerous business school and MBA rankings.
We are committed to ensuring the highest quality standards in education and are proud to have received recognition from the world's most prestigious accreditation agencies. These not only ensure the high educational quality and relevance of our continuing education programs, but also provide our graduates with a degree that is internationally recognized and quality-validated. Some of the major accreditations we can boast include:
As part of WU, the WU Executive Academy is accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Alongside AMBA and EQUIS, AACSB is among the most important accreditations for business schools worldwide, standing out for an extraordinary commitment to quality and continual improvement, as well as a strict and cohesive evaluation procedure.
The WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) was the first Austrian university to undergo and successfully complete the international accreditation procedure resulting in the award of the EQUIS seal of quality (European Quality Improvement System) in 2007.
The accreditation was confirmed in 2010 for another 3 years. In 2013 and 2018, the WU – including, of course, the WU Executive Academy – has received the EQUIS hallmark of excellence for 5 years, the maximum period possible. This makes the WU Executive Academy one of only 3 top providers of MBA programs in the German-speaking world to be EQUIS accredited for the maximum 5-year period.
For over 50 years, the Association of MBAs has been spearheading excellence and trailblazing innovation. The AMBA accreditation is at the heart of AMBA’s commitment to maintaining standards and fostering innovation in global postgraduate management education.
The Association of MBAs accredits MBA, DBA, and Master’s Degree programs from the top 2% of business schools in over five continents. In 2010, the WU Executive Academy became the first and only Austrian executive education provider to be awarded the international seal of quality by AMBA (Association of MBAs). After the initial accreditation, the WU Executive Academy was reaccredited in 2014, 2019, and again in 2024 for another 5 years.
Today, the WU Executive Academy is the only Austrian and one few business schools in the German-speaking countries to be AMBA accredited.
