New Asia module signals strategic shift
In a bold move to redefine the scope of executive education in Eastern Europe, the Bucharest Executive MBA - delivered by the prestigious WU Executive Academy—has announced the launch of a new Asia Immersion Module, expanding its international presence across three continents.
This development positions the program not only as Romania’s top-ranked Executive MBA but also as one of the region’s most globally connected, offering its participants exposure to high-impact business environments in Europe, North America, and now Asia.
Bodo Schlegelmilch Today’s leaders must think globally and act with agility. Our new Asia Immersion responds directly to that demand. The newly introduced Asia module will alternate with the existing U.S. immersion, with students also able to attend both - a distinctive feature that sets the Bucharest EMBA apart in the CEE market. The program already boasts a stellar reputation - it holds the renowned triple crown accreditation (EQUIS, AMBA, AACSB), a benchmark of the world's leading business schools (only about 1% of all business schools worldwide are triple accredited). By integrating a new Asia-focused track, the program is signaling a clear intent: to prepare CEE executives for leadership roles on a global stage, particularly in fast-evolving markets like Southeast Asia and East Asia, which are increasingly shaping the future of innovation, trade, and investment. The international immersions aren’t just a buzzword. In practice, it offers real advantages: Direct engagement with international markets Hands-on learning through company visits, executive talks, and case projects Exposure to cultural nuances that influence decision-making and negotiation styles A diverse peer network that spans industries and continents Executives enrolling in the Bucharest EMBA can now experience first-hand how strategy, leadership, and innovation are shaped by vastly different economic and cultural landscapes—from Vienna and Bucharest to New York and Singapore. The program’s international modules are also open to its network of over 550 alumni, offering seasoned executives a chance to refresh their global knowledge, deepen their networks, and re-engage with the academic community. This reinforces a growing trend in executive education: modular, flexible, and globally relevant programs that continue delivering value long after graduation. Phillip C. Nell As global economic power tilts further eastward, executives who understand the dynamics of both Western and Asian markets will be uniquely positioned to lead international expansion, build resilient supply chains, and navigate geopolitical uncertainty. The Bucharest EMBA is betting on this future - and inviting Romania’s and CEE’s most ambitious professionals to bet with them. Applications are now open for the next cohort.
