Contemporary Issues in Global Business in the U.S.

Within the scope of the program, students from the Bucharest Executive MBA completed an International Immersion in New York, USA. During this immersive experience, students learned about current “shocks” in the overall environment of firms and how they influence their strategic positions, decisions, and competitive advantage. Besides focusing on the theory, the Immersion contained several teaching cases, guest talks and company visits to a range of established firms in the heart of New York city to illustrate how firms try to deal with such shocks in practice. This International Immersion allowed our MBA students to get a deeper understanding of principal concepts and techniques of strategic management as well as to gain expertise in applying these concepts and frameworks in order to assess the most appropriate strategy when facing certain shocks.
